“Rojo del Rey”, Spanish for “King Red” is Carmichael’s first ever Tempranillo. Sourced from vineyards throughout the
Central Coast, this big robust wine is a blend of Tempranillo (76%) and Grenache (18%) from the Vista Creek Vineyard in Paso Robles. Petite Sirah. A small amount of Petite Sirah
(5%) from Hammes Valley in Monterey County was added to this blend for texture and mouth feel.

Tasting Notes
Dark red in color, with bright red cherry, smoky plum, blackberry and spice teabag defined the nose. Bold flavors of blackberry, spice, brown sugar, earth, and tobacco on the palate, followed by firm but not overly aggressive tannins.
